Before I headed to the NBC Studios Tour at 5 p.m., I popped in at Bouchon Bakery to get a snack. As the bakery was in Rockefeller Center, the majority of customers while I was there looked to be employees from nearby offices, which meant staff ID badges on lanyards and some high quality threads. As in, I found myself estimating how much a couple guys’ suits must have initially cost and then wondered what the tailoring fees must have been on top of that. By comparison, I felt a bit grubby and out of place in my travel clothes.
Issues with my self esteem aside, I opted for Bouchon’s lemon tart. It made me feel like I had my own personal lemon meringue pie. Its sweetness paired well with their iced green tea’s slight bitterness.
Bouchon Bakery has several options for those with a sweet tooth. It’s location at 30 Rock makes it a perfect option for those exploring the area or taking ones of the nearby tours.
