One of my best random finds in New York was Library Way. I was all sorts of turned around, my navigation bouncing around different towers, and trying not to panic. Then I spotted a bronze plaque under my feet. I had stumbled upon Library Way, or Library Walk.
Located on sidewalks along a stretch of East 41st Street, Library Way leads those it entices with its bronze plaques quoting literary greats to the New York Public Library. It was created thanks to the efforts of the New York Public Library and the Grand Central Partnership. The plaques were sculpted by Gregg LeFevre (1998).

Library Way is a great (and free) site to check out. You could purchase a coffee or tea to go and then leisurely take in the words by writers, poets, and playwrights. Just be mindful of New Yorkers on their way.
Over the next couple weeks, I’ll be featuring some of the quotes you can spot on Library Way. Stay tuned.
